Lydia at 4 Months

Can you believe Lydia is 4 months old?  I sure can't!

Well, that's sort of a lie, because when you look at her, she looks at least 4 months.  But I can't believe it's been four months since she was born.  So, here are the stats we got at the doctor today:

Length: 25 1/2 inches (90th percentile)
Weight: 14 lbs 3.5 oz (70th percentile - I would have thought higher, but I guess she's not as much of a chunk-monkey as we thought, ha ha!)
Head circumference: 42.4 cm (85th percentile)

She's probably going to be tall and skinny like her daddy.  I'm sure I'll still be the short one in the family, ha ha!

She totally rocked her check-up!  She got two pokes of vaccines, and she didn't cry until the second one.  What a champ!  She has achieved all of her developmental milestones for four months.  She even impressed the pediatrician with a few things.  (She sleeps 8-10 hours uninterrupted at night - I know, I'm the luckiest mommy ever!  She also started rolling over two days ago - she surprised us all with that one!)

She has been laughing for a couple of weeks.  Oh my goodness, it is the cutest thing ever!  I've been waiting for this ever since I found out I was pregnant!

She also has the cutest personality.  When she wakes up in the morning, she will tell stories for about 10-15 minutes before she fusses.  I just listen while I'm in bed via monitor.  It's so funny!

She's also one of the happiest babies I know.  She loves it when you talk to her.  She'll even smile through her cries.  It's funny to see her go from angry/grumpy baby to smile, and back to grumpy, all in a split second.

I'm so happy that Lydia is growing the way she should!  I really am the luckiest mommy in the world!
